Dresses and jeans are not permitted. They do not allow freedom of movement and are easily torn. Tights are always worn on the legs, even in warm weather, in order to keep muscles warm and loose and to prevent injuries. For students in Pre-Ballet, Level 1 and Level 2 classes, tights are optional when outside temperatures reach 80 degrees or more.

Girls should wear a skirt or slacks over their leotard and tights when coming to and from class. It is highly improper to wear your dance attire on the street.

Dancewear can be purchased at Bee’s Costumes in Westland or Dance World in Livonia. Discount coupons are sometimes available at their websites.
